Orbix's™ first product is an innovative clinically proven Breast Lifting Kit which is expected to revolutionize the field of cosmetic breast surgery by replacing the existing breast lifting procedure (mastopexy).
Orbix™ Breast Lifting Kit is intended for approximation of soft tissue to bone. It is indicated for minimally invasive breast lifting mastopexy for ptosis grades I and II, and may also be used in conjunction with open breast mastopexy procedures for ptosis grades I-IV, for treating pseudoptosis, and when lifting is combined with a breast reduction.
Orbix™ Breast Lifting Kit is based on a pre-shaped sling made of an implant grade reinforced silicon sheet, tied by sutures to bone screws fastened to the ribs. The sling is inserted into the breast and fastened to the ribs in a simple 45 minute minimally invasive procedure, or in an open surgery. The Kit can be used in conjunction with all types of existing breast surgeries, but more significantly, it opens a ‘blue ocean’- an unmet need of countless women who want to improve their breasts’ appearance, but are reluctant to undergo current procedures.
The Orbix™ System is designed, manufactured and tested according to the most stringent relevant international standards for medical devices. The materials used in the Orbix™ System are routinely used in related clinical procedures and their biocompatibility is well known.
Similarly, the Orbix™ Breast Lifting system combines known principles of soft tissue approximation, as well as breast surgery, so that all the surgical techniques are well known and routinely used in a variety of procedures. Furthermore, It should be noted that, in the event of postoperative problems, the ORBIX™ Breast Lifting Kit can be removed if clinically required (e.g. due to failure of the System, biologic adverse reaction or unaccepted cosmetic results).
Finally, Orbix™ Breast Lifting Kit offers all the profound advantages of a minimally invasive procedure. Specifically, since incisions are less extensive as compared to open procedures, there is significant risk reduction, minimal scarring, and rehabilitation after surgery.
